As with dancing, the more you struggle against any situation, the more difficult it becomes. When we let the person with Dementia take the lead and simply follow, it becomes a life filled with moments of beauty and peace. Trying to figure out what the lead is (why the person is doing what their doing) is the key. It can be challenging but more often filled with fun and love.
I like how you begin with past practices then move to current practices. So much has been learned. Great blog!
Great Blog! The Dance can be a story of struggles with Alzheimer’s disease, interwoven with memories of a lifetime!
